Pachuvum Albhuthavilakkum Review
In the movie Pachuvum Albhuthavilakkum, Fahadh Faasil plays Prakashan, who is lovingly referred to by his loved ones as Pachu. In Mumbai, he plays a lovely man who owns an ayurvedic pharmacy. Prakashan meets a prospective wife while travelling to Kerala for supplies and to renew his business franchisee licence. A little domestic incident, however, causes his travel to be delayed. Meanwhile, Prakashan is asked to help his wealthy and powerful Mumbai landlord Riyas (played by Vineeth) by taking his mother with him on a train ride to Mumbai.
Prakashan decides to pursue the adventurous senior citizen after she abruptly exits the train at Goa during the voyage. Riyas receives the information from him and immediately leaves for Goa to fetch his mother back home. Riyas’ mother tells Prakashan why she travelled to Goa at this point. If he assists her in achieving her goals, she will give him ownership of the retail space. Prakashan accepts the tempting offer and sets off on a mission that ultimately results in the realisation of empathy and love.
Akhil Sathyan, who also wrote the story, demonstrates his talent for developing engaging supporting characters. But because he frequently conjures up positive scenarios that could come out as overly idealistic, his legacy can occasionally work against him. It is common for the protagonist and other characters to have grey areas, and Vineeth’s portrayal of Riyas successfully strikes a balance between harshness and sensitivity.
Prakashan’s failure to be honest with Dhwani (played by Anjana Jayaprakash), who supports him when he’s in a challenging situation, is one component of his character that doesn’t function well. It seems out of character for Prakashan, who is shown as an honest person who learns from his mistakes, for there to be such a difference. The appearance of a mature lady in a significant role, played with remarkable grace by Viji Venkatesh, is one of the film’s most refreshing elements. Excellent performances are given by Fahadh and Anjana in their respective parts.
